Recently I have been revisiting texture blending in Photoshop. This has been made easier with the advent of the remove tool. I first remove the focus of the image i.e. the bird, then obtains a colour palette or two from the image using either the library module or color.adobe.com then using various custom brushes I create a texture background. Finally the original cutout bird is composited back into the image.
